da doce: According to Fanatik, Besiktas will make a loan offer for West Ham United forward Javier Hernandez at the start of 2019.
What’s the story?
Hernandez has only scored once in eight Premier League appearances for the Hammers this season, and has been handed just two starts in the top flight.
Marko Arnautovic is very much the club’s number one forward, and that has left Hernandez – recently back from illness – to mainly come off the bench.
Overall, Hernandez’s record at West Ham is 10 goals in 43 appearances in all competitions, which is not bad at all when considering all of the circumstances.
It has just not happened for Mexico’s all-time leading scorer, however, and the speculation surrounding his future has refused to stop.
According to Fanatik, Besiktas want to sign the 30-year-old on loan in January with the view to a permanent deal at the end of the season, and the Turkish club’s president Fikret Orman is heading to London for talks.
Should West Ham let Hernandez leave?
The situation has become a bit more complicated by the fact that Arnautovic could look to leave West Ham in the January transfer window.
The Hammers would be desperately be short in the final third if Arnautovic and Hernandez both departed, but the chance to shift the latter’s £145,000-a-week wages should be taken.

It could and indeed should have gone better for Hernandez in London. The 5ft 9in ace has proved throughout his career that he is a goalscorer, managing 59 in 158 games for Manchester United, and 39 in 76 matches for Bayer Leverkusen.
Hernandez also netted nine times in 33 games for Real Madrid, but his time at West Ham has not been positive for a number of reasons.
The Mexican has not played the full 90 minutes for West Ham in any Premier League match this season, and it would be better for both parties if their relationship ended.
