But while many wouldn’t have the stomach to document such a personal experience, Ferdinand’s brother, Anton, believes it’s a really brave thing to do and commended his brother for it with a glowing message on Twitter.
Anton talked about how proud he actually is of Rio and his family for allowing their story to inspire and help others with their own examples of pain, love and compassion.
He even said that the show helped his own family as a whole and he thanked his brother for that through his social media account.
When everything is said and done, this truly was a difficult but rewarding story to reveal to the world, and hopefully it will make a profound and positive impact on audiences at home.
